Ph.D. thesis in modeling two-phase flows using efficient multi-scale phase change closure methods: contact line effect

Topic: Optimization of interface advection algorithms, modeling contact line effects, and improving simulation performance for two-phase flows 🚀.

Context: This project aims to enhance the simulation of two-phase thermosyphon loops for more efficient cooling systems, using phase change methods and the OpenFOAM library.

📅 Duration: 36 months (Starting October 2024)
💼 Salary: Between €2100 and €2300 gross/month
📍 Location: Poitiers, France

🎯 Key Skills Required:

  1. Strong knowledge of PDEs for fluid mechanics / heat and mass transfer 🌡️
  2. Expertise in numerical methods and symbolic computation 🧑‍💻
  3. Python programming and numerical modeling

Optional Skills:

  • Familiarity with the OpenFOAM library
  • Programming in C/C++
