Dynamically loaded compliant bearings: direct application to internal combustion engine lubricated contacts
Numerical skills:
- hydrodynamic, hydrostatic and hybrid lubrication modelling,
- multi-physic analysis ⇒ TEHD models,
- roughness characterization and mixed lubrication modelling,
- texturing and wall slip modelling,
- two dedicated software: ACCEL (Analysis and Computing of Elastic Lubricated Contacts) and ACEVIM (Analysis and Computing of Elastic crank shaft bearings).
MEGAPASCALE experimental test bench: experimental investigation of big-end connecting-rod bearings
Highly compliant (elastomer) dynamic seals: rotary (lip seals) and reciprocating (hydraulic) seals
Numerical skills:
- mechanical non-linear modelling of the elastomer elastic behaviour,
- multi-physic analysis ⇒ EHD models,
- roughness characterization and mixed lubrication modelling.
Rotary lip seal test bench: friction torque and temperature measurements
